The main products of Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. include the smart logistics transport robot, EMC scanner and surface inspection systems which are utilized in logistics, manufacturing and R&D. The ‘Smart Logistics Transport Robot’ carries the objects or parts by recognizing the QR code written on the bottom to find the transport path in the logistics centers or manufacturing sites. The key technology is to carry the objects without crashing into another transport robot or personnel in the same work site. The robot is designed to observe the surrounding environment to generate a map and automatically detect an object when an object shows up on its path to autonomously explore an alternative path. It can carry up to objects weighing up to 300kg.

“As the logistics automation has recently been hot issue particularly with logistics companies and manufacturers, we expect the demand for transport robots will increase,” CEO Deuk-geon Kim said.

In addition to smart logistics transport robots, Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. also supplies ‘R-Pass’ which is a 3-axis positioning semiconductor inspection equipment. The equipment can be used by the development department or EMC testing center when there is a need for EMC during a PCB step. Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. is cooperating with IOSOFT to supply the semiconductor inspection equipment.

‘Escort’ is a walk assistant robot developed and supplied by Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. for the aging population. It helps elderly people move freely and strengthen muscles. It is also foldable to be carried in cars. The built-in ultrasonic sensor can recognize an obstacle or a person. It can move at a low speed of 2km or less per hour uses the light extruded aluminum pipe to improve safety. Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. plans to upgrade the walk assistant robot to care the elderly people in real-time by interfacing it to smartphone.

The educational robot is another main business of Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd.. The educational robot supplied by Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. is designed to help even the novices such as elementary school student to learn various robots in steps using their creativities. The students can understand the concept of sensor, mechatronics, and computer programming language by assembling the robot. Marorobot Tech Co., Ltd. has been focusing on developing key robot technology for almost 10 years since its foundation.
